My wife recently had a breast cancer scare which fortunately turned out benign.During this time I thought about all the breast cancer fund raiser events I see and have seen for several years. My question to those that might have an idea (investorpart2,dnwang) is anyone close to a drug for this rotten disease?? Thanks in advance.....Barry
Glad to hear that all turned out well for your wife. Kinda makes all this money making seem a litlle less important ... doesn't it. My second grandson turned 5 today . We lost his older brother at birth. We probably appreciate Logan a little more because of the loss. I bet you appreciate the wifey too.
probably should mention Baker Bros are invested in SGEN, the leader in ADC technology. IMGN is a distant second (in market cap) at this point even thought their technology was used to develop Kadcyla, which will replace Herceptin and probably generate $10BB+ annually in a few years.
Barry...Roche has had Herceptin, which isn't new, but what is new is that they just got the go-ahead from the EU to market a delivery system that gets the drug into the system within 5-10 minutes, where previously it took up to 90 minutes. Halozyme is the company that partnered with Roche on this. The ticker is HALO. Hope this helps...KTF
