Looks like they are cleaning their books before they are sold and I guess no one really cares. It will be interesting to see what tAMEC does with the power business. My guess is that they will look to sell within the year...But agiab=n for us investors who really cares???
I think the buyout was slated to close by end of Q2.
FWLT will pay a special 0.40 dividend to shareholders of record at end of this month, before the close of the deal. The buyout offer was for cash + shares in Amec, and Amec share price has been moving up lately. Together, these factors are driving up FWLT share price. Cleaning the books? What about the MDM buyout FWLT announced last week? Now all the sudden they are selling themselves for a measly $32/shr? This deal STINKS. At least I won't lose money this time like most of the times I've been bought out - hopefully a bidding war will starts over this pitiful bid - recall rumors a few months ago about another company sniffing around FWLT?
