long-term charters, locked in cash flow, young fleet, lay-up 30+% returns....margin clerk man, he dont care. He wants cash and he wants it now!! As soon as these liquidations are over and it could take a few more weeks who knows?? If you dont have to sell, you will make a mint. Just be patient.
Margin and forced selling are only part of the problem. The bigger problem is the BDI. It is now on a historical steep downtrend. Currently we are at a 5yr low and there does not seem to be any bottom in sight. To compound matters the drybulk orderbook is HUUUUGE. Good Luck!
