Could CLSN Executives Know Much More?

Could they have been or be conducting "unofficial studies" with associates that reflect their positive speculations? I don't know, but they are "Super Confident".
If this study turns out to be superior to radiotherapy alone, can you imagine the talk everywhere.
I just have a gut feeling that they know much more than they are informing us.
I have always had a feeling that this trial would succeed, but I really do not know...but I am getting rather anxious.

    • Celsion's CEO discusses Q3 2012 results; "Through our quality dashboard we have tracked and evaluated timelessness, and certain trends in the data set which are routinely SCOURED by our DATA MANAGEMENT TEAM. This information has been reviewed and discussed in each and every DMC meeting. We have instituted and completed a comprehensive remonitoring program for a number of high volume clinical sites to check and double check the data supporting proper study conduct."... the data management team might might have some insights...GLTA

    • They have clearly said they do. The language used by the CEO..."Curative," "Blockbuster," "Once in a generation," says it all. This is not a wily, charismatic, "sell ice to eskimos," entrepreneur. This is an established, decades as a senior executive in big parma, guy.

He could have hedged the language considerably and still represented the company effectively. He's risking his entire career and reputation, unless he's simply telling us what he knows. Stable, honest, proven executive is simply telling everyone what's clear to him.

Glad I listened! Can't wait for results.

    • This might have been a very good opportunity to gain some 'color' as to how the trial was going:

Celsion Convenes Symposium of Leading Experts in Primary Liver Cancer
Physician Investigator Meeting to Focus on Reach and Market Potential for ThermoDox(R) in China & Asia Pacific
COLUMBIA, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/08/11 -- Celsion Corporation (NASDAQ: CLSN), a leading oncology drug development company, announced today that on August 13, 2011, the Company will convene a clinical symposium in Hong Kong to discuss the reach and market potential of the Company's lead product candidate, ThermoDox®, a proprietary heat-activated liposomal encapsulation of doxorubicin, in the Asia Pacific region. ***Attending the symposium will be 35 clinical investigators participating in the Company's pivotal, Phase III HEAT Study, a multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of ThermoDox® in combination with radio frequency ablation (RFA) for the treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), or primary liver cancer. The Asia Pacific region has the world's highest incidence of HCC, due primarily to the endemic status of chronic hepatitis B and C viruses, which lead to liver cirrhosis and an increased risk of liver cancer. With a growing incidence and the region's significant population, it is projected that HCC will surpass lung cancer as the largest global cancer indication within the next decade.

    • A very dumb assumption.....of course they know more, but nothing is definite until all the tabulations are collected....

    • Their actions speak very loud. I have never seen a biotech startup so confident about upcoming results. These guys are risking everything. The company as a going concern, pipeline trials, their jobs, salaries and benefits, lifestyles and their families' security.

And they don't have to. There is a $75 million shelf registration already filed with the SEC. It is right there but they do not see a need to tap it. That is confidence. Unbelievable.

Yes, management is telling us loud and clear: "It freaking Works!"

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Hi Dcup. Like some of the older posters, I was already here when you showed up. An you are nothing if not zealous - on both sides of the coin. Pumping, bashing, pumping. I hope it is a racing success. But lets be clear here: if the management "knows something" and they have traded on that knowledge (think Max Link - the other open market stock purchases were minuscule) they could very well end up in jail. And MT's comments you refer to seem brazen and ignorant. Again, if he knows something, he should keep his mouth shut. Do not put any stock into what MT says. If he knows it's positive and is broadcasting it, he will be in trouble. If he knows its negative and he's spinning it, he will be in worse trouble. The shelf registration is perhaps the only thing that is telling.

Calm down. Don't try so hard to influence the less convicted. Here's hoping its a success.

      • DCUP is it? The statement "The company as a going concern" At this time Celsion is dependent on seed money to keep afloat so call it a going concern is a bit misleading. In business a going comcern is self sufficient.

      • this is not a startup company and don't ever trust management in any company.
