The chart for DFZ shows the 50 day moving average at about $9.90 (and rising). Many times stocks that are rising will dip and find support at the 50 DMA before resuming their climb. I don't know why this happens, but the pattern is very common.
Let's hope that DFZ at least holds up until it's 50 DMA climbs some more. But don't panic if it dips that far.
I suspect that news of the next quarter will cause this stock to move. I have no guess what investors expect, but I would be thrilled with anything close to breakeven.
Anyone know when they announce?
......just trying to keep discussion going....
In 2002 I bought another stock at about $2 (PMTI).....made the mistake of selling some at the first dip......still have some at $37. Hang in there guys.
I hope at the conference call they give us some color of how fall orders as shaping up.
Tropic: will be a great monthly loss. Got a few more of a great business, with great brand that too pretty cheap.
The CEO, Mr. Tunney, is pretty impressive.
Guys, please let me know if you have some more of such businesses at great price.
I don't know who's selling, but when the time comes for me to sell (in a few years, perhaps), I can't imagine selling more than a few thousand shares a day - unless average volume in the stock is significantly higher than it is now. It took me months to buy my position, and I'm sure it will take me months to sell.
I'm hopin for a profit of a penny or two. The first quarter had some cold weather that lingered. Wouldn't that be great. Making money in that quarter. I think they'll announce early May. That seems to be the pattern. A little over a month beyond the quarter's close.
Tropical, dream on...I too would love to see a profit in Q3, but I don't think it's going to happen. It's been a while since I've done calculations based on the guidance in the Q2 press release, but I'm expecting a loss of 5-10 cents/share in Q3. Anything better than that will be nice.
With the Terrasoles being sold in Q3 and Q4 next year, perhaps then we can break even.
