I sense some friction in your posts re: SYSCO Operating Cos. delivering produce, am I correct? There are some operations who do quite well managing increased sales, higher margins and reduced shrink. On the other hand there are some who do not. The produce category is a category where SYSCO's market share is quite low and when compared to how many dollars are spent in produce (2nd to seafood) there is pleny of opportunity for everyone!!!!! Good Selling!!
I have to agree - produce has been my strongest area of growth and profit this year. I dont know how those produce companies make any money with such a limited line to sell. They can't make any money selling one line unless they are gouging. I am so glad I work for Sysco.
