Who knows what happened, but Tiger is not considered to be a drinker. Quite the opposite, he is known to be very health conscious and rarely (if ever) drinks.
My first thought was that he had an argument with his wife and drove off angry and upset. That is just a guess. As I said, I don't know what happened.
Tiger began running out of the house with wife chasing him with his trophy golf club. "I'll kill you!" He fuumbles with the ignition as she menacingly approaches. The Floridian moon casts a glow on the wife momentarily reminding Tiger of the blood-soaked Carrie as the high school prom. Tiger gets the car started and backs out into the street, but as quick as an arrrow, the wife runs into the street with the club over her right shoulder prepared to drop a mighty blow to the mercede's windshield. Tiger swerves to avoid the wife and hits the fire hydrant. Startled, in terror Tiger hits the gas and slams into the tree. The wife proceeds to smash the window and Tiger's face until the neighbors light goes on. "I'm sorry...," Sobs the wife, "dear what will we do now." "We'll say that you tried to rescue me with the club," replies Tiger. "I do love you," is all she can muster.
Come on. I love what the guy has done for the sport and has been a model citizen so far. However lets look at the situation.
He was leaving his house at 2:25am. Why does a married man leave at that time?
Wife breaks the back window with a golf club. No set of spare keys?
Has lacerations to the face.
Breaking news comes out at 3pm, 12 hours after the accident and injuries go from serious to minor.
My take: There was a spousal dispute, and I am going to take his side and say he didnt touch her. Thus his exit from the house. She chased him out to the garage and smashed in the back window with a club. Possibly might have even hit him before he got in the car as it was reported he was in and out of consiusness. He then drove off woozy and ran into the hydrant and tree. She then called the police and reported the incident. We will never know because he is not just a celebrity, but the face of a sport.
Disclosure: This is all speculation.
