If you don't like the word evolution, I don't care what you call it, but life has changed. You can lay out all the fossils that have been collected and establish lineages that even a fool could work up. So the question is why, how does this happen? It's not covered by Genesis. There's no explanation for this change going back 500 million years in any book I've read from the lips of any God."
Leakey insists he has no animosity toward religion.
"If you tell me, well, people really need a faith ... I understand that," he said.
"I see no reason why you shouldn't go through your life thinking if you're a good citizen, you'll get a better future in the afterlife ...."
My point is that human think one set of what-ever system will fit all.
And that kind of thoughts never fails in causing all kinds of big troubles.
Didn't you see the endless conflicts between the Germany folks and the Greece people under the very same EURO system?
Religion(s) is very important to some of us throughout their lives or to all of us during certain intervals of our lives.
So long each of us value his/her own religion the way he/she value his/her own Mercede/Corolla, there won't be any religious problem.
adam and eve were earthlings. they could not be considered as african until some earthling named the continent "africa". and i guess they could not be considered earthlings until after somebody named the planet "earth". adam named all of the animals, btw.
ok i'm past the rib thing however i need some help with adam and eve. if they were the only man and woman and they were supposed to populate the earth, did their chirens participate in incestual relations?
and noah's flood. if all of the ice on earth were melted, it would only raise the sea level a couple of hundred feet. where did all of the water come from to completely cover the earth and/or where did it go afterward? TIA
god created dinosaurs on the morning of the 6th day and then by that evening on the same day killed them all off? wouldn't that mean man has existed on the earth longer than the dinosaurs did?
where did the light come from on the first day, if he didn't create the sun and the moon and the stars until the 4th day? did he have a flashlight?
if he created the stars on the 4th day, 3 days after the earth, the earth would be older than any other material in the universe, but we know the rest of the universe is close to 15 billion years old and the earth is a little over 4 byo.
how could he create creatures "according to their kind" if until this point there had been no creatures of that kind?
these are the kinds of things i think about.
if you're referring to a chicken and the egg in general, the egg. if you're referring to a chicken and a chicken egg, they came at the same time, both evolving simultaneously from a dinosaur.
how come god didn't mention the dinosaurs in genesis? they're pretty big.
you would think he'd at least give man a little heads up, 'go forth and produce and hey watch out for those tyrannosauruseses'.
