From what I can tell, since the aquisition of Triangle Plastics by Alltrista, Triangle has been run into the ground. Now I hear they are going to shut down Triangle's Oelwein, IA plant. Its a shame to see Alltrista ruin such a good company in such a short period of time.
It's not so simple. Alltrista is not "running" Triangle into the ground. At the time of the acquisition, Triangle was at an all-time sales revenue high as its two primary markets peaked coincidentally. The fundamental problem seen today has its roots in risky strategy prior to its sale to Alltrista - mainly that they had entirely too much business relying on a very small base of customers. Over the past 10 months, both principal markets have declined significantly and raw materials costs have increased - hence a real squeeze on revenue and profitability. Without Alltrista's ongoing financial and management support, Triangle would be in a lot worse shape.
