Most people actually 85% of Americans spend 2 hours or more on facebook a day.
WHAT was google 5 years ago? nothing, they generate their income through ads..then they launched droid etc..
Facebook has more ad capability because more people use facebook than Google on a daily/time consumption basis, and facebook can purchase netflix or they can spint off their on tv station/phone and become like Google. because the key to google's success isn't some secret formula, it is how much market they have in terms of people, facebook has more potential than google because more people use it for more time everyday. now all Facebook has to do is profit on that usership through products/ads/ad space etc.
There are many days i dont use Google.
That is how, rumor has a $1.00/year campaign by facebook which nets them annual income of $800,000,000
Facebook is not myspace. Myspace was used by high school drop outs, and drug addicts.
Facebook is used by business, every commerical has a facebook logo, in downtown Dallas almost every small shop has a facebook link/icon on their windows.
Human nature needs communication/networking, facebook is here forever, it is the new email..do you use your email? i do.
Case closed, anyone whos goes negative/shorts this stock will lose this is the most obvious pick of our generation.
I think it's a big mistake to compare ads on Google with ads on Facebook.
Users looking to shop for products/services use a search engine, like Google. If the ads relate to the search, the user may be interested.
In contrast, users looking to shop do not go to Facebook. They go to Facebook to socialize, and they ignore the ads.
That's the most ridiculous stat I ever heard. You must of meant 85% of people who are taking a break from their favorite reality show and yes, those people probably spend in excess 12 hours a day on Facebook. .. poor souls.
