Everyone on these boards were yelling sell, it can't get any higher. Well, 500 points later they are still saying it. I see the same opportunity here with FaceBook. Just buy it, forget about it for a few years and come back and just laugh at the #$%$ scalpers and flippers. Remember traders make pennies but investors make dollars. Facebook is one of the best investments you can make right now. See you in a few years.
I think FB is doing well but it cant be compared to GOOG. When GOOG was 110, they had growth of around 85% and FB is no where even close. The comparison cannot be made.......Two different stocks and two different times. This is not to say anything bad about FB.
Amazon and Ebay in auction are worried about this giant facebook, they have billions of social members who are loyal to the facebook name, so buy, search, uction, get a job, send a gift, or et information from its site of data.
FB can and will go higher from here. Yes, its market cup is big, but potential is bigger. It will take a big share from Amazon and Google and this Gifts app is just a beginning. End of the Next year it will be in the range $50-70 and possibly higher.
Facebooks poblem is the freakin amount of shares they have. And that amount is going to increase over time in order to pay for bonuses and salaries, diluting the value of every share even further. Even if you put Amazon, Google, Msft and Apple together, FB still has more shares. So how valuable is FB really? In order for FB to become what you are pointing to, some big and drastical things need to happened. Google has to lose on all fronts against FB and take over its share, or at least take a big bite out of Google earnings. Same with Amazon. It is possible, but yet unlikely. Its not like more money will flow into ad business just because FB enters the arena. It is the same amount of money being shared. Stop dreaming about $100+ share price for FB. Even at $700 a share Google, who is a giant on internet has a valuation of $250 billion(havent checked the exact numbers but it is there somewhere). If FB only had like 500 million shares than multiple $100-$200 per share wouldnt have been farfetched! But with 3 billion and counting, no way!
