In the past week, the market goes up, FB goes down like today. The market crashes FB goes up. The price movement is inversly proportional to the overall market! What gives?

    • My thoughts on this: This is typical in the market for higher risk equities, essentially when the market is down, people invest in more stable and lower risk equities since even if the market goes down, it is likely to go back up. When the market goes down, investors in the market take cash of stable investments and pump them into higher risk equities as the expected return is greater. In addition, the traders buying stocks on down days are typically into more risky type investments.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • short covering has bottomed. 2/15 short interest back to 25M still very low but has stopped falling. There is selling pressure on this stock until SI reached 60M.
