not to smart...yes, they may stagnate in users, but who cares? If they can monentize them, you would be foolish to use users as a metric of their earnings. yes, it may temporary go down if true, but listen to my first point.
exactly...user/views are important ONLY in so far as they MAYBE predictive of sales, and sales is ONLY important in so far as they MAYBE predictive of profits. But it is PROFITS that ultimately matters. The dotcom bust was people speculating on internet companies that had only user growth but little or no sales, or profit. Right now FB is massively profitable while still expanding their user base, TWTR has yet to show a profit. That clearly shows which is the better bet.

I won't dispute that FB may lose users, I am not a fortune teller. However, at the moment FB continues to gain users at a rate that has not been slowed. FB now has over 1.2 billion ACTIVE users up from 200 million in four years. That is a fact. Of course, it is a speculative issue, look at the P/E. That P/E is based on potential growth.
