Off Fiscal Cliff, Obama Goes Golfing

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Taking a break from the fiscal cliff negotiations, President Obama is spending the first day of his holiday vacation golfing with friends and aides, including longtime pal Bobby Titcomb, who was arrested last year on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute.

Hey Donny, isn't it a little early to be drinking on Sunday?

Your post certainly indicated your uncanny ability to focus on the collateral items (golf, soliciting a prostitute, enjoying the Hawaiian sunshine) rather than on the fiscal cliff.

What is your point? Johnny #$%$ can't get Pauli and his tee potty ideologs into the real world; he can't command his majority caucus. He could easily get a compromise with Nancy and a few donkeys, but he is strictly a partisan preek. There is no legislative leadership that is dependable or productive in the Party of NO in the US House of Reps.

Hussein is supposedly dealing (more like surrendering when he went from the $250k to the $400k tax rise line), but he doesn't have a reliable partner in negotiations who can deliver what any resolution might be. That weak reed in the US Senate is incapable of leading and Mitch and his merry band of Grover Norquistians might filibuster any deal that has a tax increase for the very rich.

So......off the fiscal cliff we go due to a deadlocked Congress and no leadership anywhere. All IMHO.

      Mr. Congeniality

      Wrong emperor ?
