    About J. Siegel's Article

Saw this on YHOO Board. Posted a reply. Want to
    share both of
    them with AOL believers.

As I said yesterday, I read it and it did nothing to
my investing strategy. Lots of apple-orange
comparison, lot of old-fashioned valuation. His professorial
status does not impress me as I always remembered the
anecdote of a Harvard professor giving Federal Express'
founder a D- on his project written about his overnight
    delivery vision.
Having said all of this, what should
happen next? Two things. First, WSJ should allow a
rebuttal on the Internet Stocks in their paper. And, I
think that is going to happen next week with their
second part: "The Case for Internet Stocks".
    J. Siegel should resign from Wharton and give up his
professorship. One of the main responsibilities of the teachers,
whether kindergarten, elementary, highschool or college,
is to envision and inspire vision. His article did
exactly the opposite. I feel sorry for the students who
have to take his class. I once had a teacher who told
me that I would never be able to learn a foreign
language. Guess what, dear prof., I speak, write and read
    four of them now.
