America's top companies. The
question is: What is a reasonable price for AOL stock. Mr.
Lynch didn't answer that question but I will ---
And you are who again, tom???? Oh that's
right - NOBODY!!!!
Fidelity's Peter Lynch, legendary fund manager of
its Magellan Fund and now a spokesman for the
company, said America Online (AOL: news, msgs) is going to
be one of the top U.S. companies one day. "There's
only a couple of hundred companies in the U.S. that
make a billion dollars," Lynch said. "America Online
is going to one of those companies." Lynch said that
shares of many Internet companies are overvalued, and
that "this doesn't make any sense." He said that some
of the Internet companies, however, are good
bargains and will be leaders in the industry, and that
Fidelity is actively trying to find them.
