but the guidance couldn't be $80M or everybody would know that AAPL was a customer. In addition, AAPL might be a customer that goes from $3M in the initial Q to $30M per Q in the next year. Might take time to ramp into all the product lines and such.
I as well thought that was a key statement. He's not going to spill the beans per Apple..........he's going to let the teardown do it. One day this quarter, I don't know when, we're going to wake up and be pleasantly surprised when we see Invensense in our new customer.
I was hoping for 75 mil and higher ... but it's 68 to 70 mil ... which is safely higher than the Street of 66 mil. They specifically said next generation 3 axis going to a major new customer or something close to that. So I bet ... the now price sensitive Apple went with the 3 axis INVN gyro and something cheap from STM ... 3 axis accel. And the 3 axis gyro is not a big money maker so the guidance wasn't bad, but not overwhelming.
