$22.50 is max pain for tomorrow

I can't find any calculator that gives anything other than $21.00. As long as INTC finishes below $22, the peak number of calls and puts will expire worthless. Othere than a 50,000 call spread that traded earlier in the month, there is not much open interest in the money at the other strike points.

Max pain has much less (if any) impact on market price today. Before the advent of cheap option trading, max pain may have meant something. It has very little influence today.

    • They had to dump an amazing number of shares to keep the close under $22. The calls will not be automatically exercised unless the bid is at least 1 cent in the money or $22.01. The puts wll not be excercised automatcally unless the ask is 1 cent in the money or $21.99.

With the bid at $21.99 and the ask at $22.00, no options will be automatically exercised.
