Well, the dividend announcement should come out next week if they keep to the same date as last year.
1. Increased buyback announcement 2. Announcement from major financial institution regarding using Intel security technology per meetings at IDF. This could be a "killer app" for Intel. 3. More manufacturers signing up for Google TV 2.0 (September release) along with Google's purchase of Hulu. Google TV uses Intel CE4100. Interestingly, nothing much was announced regarding CE4100/4200 at IDF. 4. Shipping dates for Intel/McAfee DeepSafe
I would prefer a Google/Android related announcement...since that seems to be overwhelmingly positive in the eyes of the market. Of course, Apple flipping over from A5/A6 would be great too - but that may not happen for some time.
Those are some great possibilities. My only thought about borrowing 1.5 billion for buybacks was "Why so low?" They could easily afford to borrow $10 billion. You may never see rates this low again. Why not for the gusto?
Think Intel will be on a buying streak by the end of the year. I am hoping that security is as big as you say it will be.
