Intel Ivy Bridge To Be Officially Launched On March 6th?
I think that you are right about a Romely Intro rather than Ivy Bridge. Romley is a 32nm product with a relatively low volume that should be available in sufficient quantities.
When Ivy Bridge is introduced, Intel will need to have sufficient quantities to convert the Sandy Bridge market very quickly. If there is a hicup in the 22nm process, Intel will have a tough time selling Sandy Bridge to customers who are demanding Ivy Bridge.
WHEN Intel introduces Ivy Bridge, it will signal to the industry the health of the 22nm process. It will have to be very healthy for Intel to introduce.
IF, the March 6th event is a 22nm product, that will be very, very positive for Intel.
