Four years is a long time. I expect breakdown of these projections at some time and markets taking a totally different turn. Of course IDC will have new projections at that time, everybody will talk about those, and everybody will forget about today's broken down projections. This is the history of markets. And most likely future too.
I agree. The "multi-device" world they are describing? Could that include Android powered picture frames? And Android powered master remotes? There are only so many phones and tablets consumers can use. I believe by 2016 ARM will have difficulties keeping up with Intel and will be selling it's older technology cheaply in other devices used around the home or in things like boom boxes and car radios.
