If it stays up today, ya think we should prepare for a HUGE drop tommorow...

If this IS a div. play, then will the stock drop 4%+ on the 6th? That's the time to sell puts or by calls? Or couldn't I buy puts today for cheap & sell on Monday?

    • The stock will drop $.225 (the amount of the quarterly dividend) at the open on Monday (11/5) - the ex-dividend date. Of course, the stock will open wherever the MMs open it, but the close on Friday (11/2) will be adjusted down by 22 cents.

    • From my understanding, the div is already figured into the price of the calls and puts... so I don't think there's any reason to believe that you'll make any money by doing do so... the stock price should automatically adjust 22.5 cents down on Monday and anyone that buys today or tomorrow and holds till the close tomorrow will collect the dividend... look for "Options Basics 101" on youtube for a better understanding..

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
