Clearly Intel is trying to attack the tablet market with a vengeance. I really want to see the form factor for the convertibles and detachables with these low power chips. I think Haswell will go even lower maybe 5W or 4W?
It may be that the 'delay' in Bay Bridge was actually planned. Why rush out with Bay Bridge when Haswell can do just as much damage? Bay Bridge can be used for the knock-out blow!
Remember guys these are just harvested Ivy Bridge dies still on Intel's 22nm High Performance process and not its upcoming 22nm SoC Low Power process. That is how much headroom there is in Intel's trigate process ! So in the next two years while ARM remains on S4/A6/A15 designs Intel will be going to Haswell and Broadwell and could do these low power Core designs on the SoC LP process too if it wanted to ! This x86/ARM performance/power competition will not even be close ;-).
