Ohio Officials: Poll Worker May Have Voted Six Times
    By Eliana Johnson
Melowese Richardson is the Ohio poll worker who admitted to casting two votes in November for President Obama. Now, Ohio officials are investigating if she voted in the names of four other people as well and cast a total of six ballots in the 2012 election, according to Fox News. The investigation is part of a wider one into a number of cases of alleged voter fraud in Hamilton County, Ohio. Richardson says she filled out and submitted an absentee ballot on her granddaughter’s behalf, and her granddaughter has confirmed that claim, saying, “It wasn’t a big deal.” Furthermore:

Three other absentee ballots in the names of different people were submitted to the Board of Elections from Richardson’s address on Nov. 1. Officials say the handwriting on those ballots is similar and that they were all received together, on the same day that Richardson’s absentee ballot arrived at the office. Richardson maintains that some of the other voters live at her house.

Attempts by Fox News to reach Richardson were unsuccessful, but she claimed to the local station that the votes were “absolutely legal votes.”

Richardson is currently facing charges of voter fraud but maintains her innocence. “I can’t understand these charges against me of voter fraud,” she told Cincinnati’s Channel 9 News. “Have they never heard of . . . overlooking mailing in a ballot or registering to vote at a precinct after you’ve forgotten that you’ve mailed in a ballot or you’ve been told that the ballot may be too late?”

The local news report below includes an interview with Richardson, who is set to appear before Ohio’s Hamilton County Board of Elections on Friday, as well as footage from the testimony of five other Ohio voters accused of voting, or attempting to vote, twice. One individual revealed she was unaware that it was illegal to vote twice, while several reported confusion caused by absentee ballots

    • Just a follow up since I thought the absentee ballot plus voting in person was not a problem. That is captured by the in-person ballot being provisional if an absentee ballot was mailed out.

Melowese pleaded no contest to 4 charges and 4 other charges were dropped. She was convicted of voter fraud for voting for a relative in a coma but not for the voting in person plus submitting an absentee ballot.

Ohio poll worker Melowese Richardson convicted of felony voter fraud
Long-time Hamilton County poll worker Melowese Richardson was convicted Monday of illegal voting and could go to prison for up to six years for it.

Richardson, 58, of Madisonville, pleaded no contest to four counts of illegal voting – including voting three times for a relative who has been in a coma since 2003 – in exchange for prosecutors dropping four other illegal voting charges. Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Ruehlman immediately convicted her, making her a felon.

A Hamilton County poll worker since 1998, Richardson admitted she voted illegally in the 2008, 2011 and 2012 elections.

      • Just a follow up about the filthy, good for nothing Liberals. The filthy, good for nothing Liberals and other "Good American Patriots" allowed the process to run to completion and Melowese Richardson was sentenced to five years in prison for voter fraud.

She was convicted for voting in 2008 and 2012 for her comatose sister.

One less filthy, good for nothing Liberal on the streets abusing Constitutional liberties. She will be a ward and responsibility of the Ohio state prison system for the next 5 years.

    • Melowese voting twice for herself is not a problem. Once a voter is issued an absentee ballot, her vote at the polls is done on a provisional ballot. It is not counted until the absentee ballots are all processed. That process is fairly common and is a case that is easily handled. The "attempting to vote twice" charges in this case is just theater. It will be investigated and dropped.

The group of absentee ballots that were received as a group may or may not be OK. The elections commission will examine and figure out. The only real issue of this article is that the elections commision received three absentee ballots with similar handwriting. That will likely be investigated and be found OK.

Melowese is a long time activist and is not dumb. If she commited voter fraud, she should and will be prosecuted.

If she is prosecuted, I am pretty sure that it will be the first case of "Democratic voter fraud" that has been found since the elections.

Please keep us informed on this. I expect nothing to come from it.

    • Why are you surprised? Liberals steal money out of their mom's purses.

    • Yep, us filthy good for nothing liberals. And filthy, good for nothing Hispanics, and filthy, good for nothing minorities, and filthy good for nothing women. By the time you get through identifying all the people not worthy of your company or attention, there really aren't very many people left to join you on your pedestal, now are there? Kind of makes it hard to win elections, doesn't it. You just stay up on your pedestal, bro. I'll stay down here with the real people...
