I know PC sales are decreasing, but i like my PC tower. It's lasted me well and i plan on getting another one. I only get PC's with Intel chips. We have a lab with 20 PC's. They've been running for years. When we get a laptop, we have issues within two years. So, i personally like PC's and i plan on getting another one. A small tablet can't do half of what my PC can do. Go ahead, shrink them down, but i want a PC to be available. Preferably, with an Intel chip!!!

You might look at replacing them. Depending on how they are used, any system that is not running at least Sandy Bridge Core iX-2xxx is burning too much power and is costing you. A Core i3 2000 series or 3000 series is faster and lower power than your existing system. Quieter since lower air cooling. They will pay for themselves in lower power consumption and lower cooling cost in less than 12 months.
You can probably even buy barebones systems and swap over drives, monitors, .....
If you have 20 older systems, you might even be able to buy a small EP server and run VM sessions, depending on your layout.
I just retired my last pre-Sandy system for exactly that reason.
