I think Intel is giving tablets market a choice between Haswell and Bay Trail, and then leaving it to the market to decide. Obviously Intel will be more than happy if HW gets significant (potentially majority) share of combined HW and BT powered tablets. I think performance of BT is designed to be barely competitive with ARM based processors, at the same time leaving the room for HW tablets. Personally I would choose HW tablet over BT tablet if the price delta is within $100, even at battery life and weight penalty. If I have good reasons to buy Intel powered tablets, then I have good reasons to buy HW tablets at +$100 over BT tablets.
