What do you think the secret feature will be that's "right under their noses"? There are some guesses on the forum; some seem plausible and some don't. One that would be under noses is a heated steering wheel. Apparently the steering column is a M-B design, which has a heated wheel. I know that in my car, the heated wheel is absolutely wonderful. But it's not a feature that you would keep hidden from customers all winter, so I don't think that's it.
The next most tempting idea is a heads-up display in the windshield. If it was, it would have to be hidden extraordinarily well. But it might explain the windshield distortion at the bottom 3" that some owners have mentioned.
Any other ideas?
Probably siri or dragon or something voice activated. I love my dragon medical software once it is programmed. I just transfer it to any computer I use dragon on and it does well to get my commands correct.
I heard an interesting possibility for a feature that's "right under their noses". Since Model S's are now being delivered without fog lights, it could very well be that they can be added with a simple software upgrade. While you sleep! How cool would that be?
Temagami is that a snide remark pointed towards me? Let me tell you something, you underestimate what can be accomplished through software. You remember the problems the Dragon had when it was going to the ISS? They developed a fix for a problem and sent it to an unmanned spacecraft which cleared its problems, while IN ORBIT! You really do underestimate what software can accomplish. A smartphone is only "smart" because of it's software! What makes humans great, our opposable thumbs, or the SOFTWARE that is our minds and it's ability to adapt and use our opposable thumbs to produce things?
anyways I predict you'll find out very soon I was right and that software upgrades are going to enable things that many think are impossible (extended range, faster charge times, etc, without hardware upgrades), and the largest benefactors will be stakeholders and customers of Tesla.
