How much demand is there for a self driving car ?
What are the chances that the government will even allow this to hit the roads ?
Wake up people. This is a distration for the losses Tesla is posting
If you own a self driving car, will you need a driver's license? Will this revolutionize the pizza delivery business (just send the car, without a driver)? Will a self driving car circle the block 3 times looking for a parking space? So many questions to be answered!
wrong spelling CRT, not CVR. thinking of something else. but anyway, my grand-dad always says "who needs flat-panel TVs, i [he] loves my [his] black-n-white CRT TVs a lot..." well, some people don't like changes....
Self driving cars will come. It's just a matter of time. A lot safer than a human driven car too. It's like having a chauffeur that never gets tired, drunk or in need of a bathroom. It'll take 5 years or so.
The government will allow it because once everyone has one it will reduce traffic congestion and reduce accidents. Insurance companies will like them too. It's a win win win win. Mass adoption will bring cost down as well.
((( It'll take 5 years or so. ))
Lol ... Elon says he can do it in three. I guess he caters to people with shorter memory spans that others,
Self driving cars will probably be developed in markets like China or Vietnam where people don't know how to drive. These markets are less regulated by government and the people are not sue happy.
Elon is an ego maniac who has no new ideas. He heard about self driving cars and just had to grab some spotlight and declare that Tesla would beat everyone. Like all of his BS (Mission to Mars, Hyperloop, profitable EV company) this is no going to happen.
