So what? Once it reaches the top speed, power usage drops. Gasoline cars are the same way. You need a lot of energy to accelerate, once you reach your desired speed, you use alot less energy.
Model S using 320 Kw to accelerate to 130 MPH
AND still using 320 Kw to maintain that speed.

Yes but if you drive at 50Km/h coast downhill and don't use the heater, air-con or lights then it's not that bad.
