Earnings will be reported on Tuesday, 2/24. As you probably saw the range for the quarter is .01 to .15 with an average of .09. A huge divergence in opinion. Since the median is .11, I'm guessing that they will beat the .09. They should be turning the corner and there should be an acceleration in sales with all the changes in operations that have been made over the past year. New and improved products should also contribute. The weakness being experienced by SSYS may indicate an improving competitive environment.
I suspect this industry, as a whole is contracting. TDSYS is targeting the manufacturing sector, competing with solutions at 1/2 of their cost with more capabilities (CNC). Why did they change directions in the first place? I think they need to re-think their market strategy or watch a decline in their market share.
