ENER's consumer NiMH battery royalties were up about 75%, from $1.688 million in fiscal 2007 to $2.985 million in fiscal 2008. Although growth in this segment will continue, the big jump in the year ahead will be in transportation battery business.
ENER's transportation NiMH battery royalties were up about 33%, from $1.515 million in fiscal 2007 to $2.086 million in fiscal 2008. This last number should jump to at least $10 million during fiscal 2009, as Sanyo ramps up production for Honda from 50,000 in fiscal 2008 to 250,000 in fiscal 2009.
