TOTAL decides it's time to absorb SRWR (us). We don't know if they had a hand in this despicable drop on what they knew were stellar numbers in an effort to sweeten their pot, but it could be the case...we may never know. The bottom of this bottomless pit is coming closer unless you believe otherwise but at some point the numbers will trigger a reversal that will move us forward at whatever pace the market will allow.
Enough blathering about what has occurred.....the questions that are open to the board for opinion are :
do you believe that Total had a hand in orchestrating the most recent events in manipulating SWPR's share price for corporate gain or do they really have the intent to infuse SPWR with the resources that they require to achieve their full potential as long as required?
If they have a point of entry to absorb SPWR ...what would do you think that number would be 30? 50? 100+ ?
If the absorption occurs, will that be a plus or minus and why ......and where would the share price go and in what time frame?
There are a hundred other questions that I couldn't list here that I'm sure are on everyone's mind.
You don't have to be a stock guru to answer any of these questions.
This most likely will initiate intellectual responses from the seniors on this board but hopefully it will also elicit the thoughts of the "newbies" (of which I am one) that wish to express their opinion without fear of ridicule or retribution.
Either we learn from our experiences and mistakes or we are destined to repeat them.
SunPower will continue to operate under present management. Total opted against an outright purchase to maintain SunPower's entrepreneurial nature and agility. The Board of Directors has been expanded to 11 members, 6 of which nominated by Total.
