it's like U.S. product vs. Chinese product, we all know which is the better product. SCTY uses solar panels made in China, they're not as efficient as SPWR's panels which are made in the United States, plus SPWR has the better quality control. In the long run, customers are going to want the best for their roof.
Very interesting articles recently about Toyota and American auto companies shunning Chinese parts suppliers because of low quality, and even cheating with the substitution of inferior grade plastics, etc. I've worked in the computer industry for two Chinese companies, and both were cheating in various ways, and I left both, or was canned in one case for complaining about how they were screwing my customers, and keeping double books. Many Americans don't realize how little these foreign-owned companies pay in taxes by cheating. Chinese are hardly the only ones. Korean, Israeli, Indian all some of the worst habitual offendors.
BTW JMHO - Kudos to Obama for raising the minimum wage.
