I am surprised that the stock price has held up so well given that a deal was not going to be announced in March as many had predicted or hoped.
I am not surprised that nothing was announced in March. The February 28 cc was a clear indication to me and some others that things were not going to happen quickly. I took a lot of money off the table at that time for fear that the stock would substantially retreat. Admittedly, this was at 71 dollars per share which is lower than we have traded since.
I don't regret my decision. I am just surprised the stock has reacted this way. Normally one could guarantee a drop after a missed "perceived" deadline followed by silence.
The stock has shown a lot of resiliency in the vacuum this time around.
Almost all are locked in on both sides of the trade; the low volume confirms this. A new buyer or an old adding more would put us back up the $4 surrendered over the last week or so. It's inconsequential in the long term, but I as I'm sure others would like at least a small reversal soon. Incideers post today hints at very positive "news" behind the closed doors. Not much longer.
