I put in a sell order at $30, and several times Ameritrade ticker did show it reached $30 yet my sell order didn't take. This is annoying. Somebody is screwing around with ordinary investors like me. This sucks.
It is kind of funny, even though I came out smelling like roses here, I never did fully know what was going on. I do think, in hind sight, that this buy out probably protect us from being crushed by the last q performance, and I admit that I was planning to hold on prior to knowing how bad it would be.
I don't understand this.
If the deal closes at $30, isn't that the price the shorts cover at?
Don't your shares get taken away at the close of the deal, and $30 / share goes into your account.
If it was a simple as "not taking" $30, as the shorts need shares to cover, we'd all ask for $40, $50, etc.
Help an old timer understand this.
