I think that's possible. Plenty of reason to go through $15. But then again, you'll see any offer by Friday so it's a short lived party. I think that there is another offer, maybe 2. But, it would take a fight to stick past $18
I would hope it hits 18 too, but based on my luck, I don't have any expectations...I only hope it goes past 15 cos my options are at that price.....I would assume that it would be trivial to make an offer @15 because
1) SouthEastern/T Rowe etc may not be happy with $15...afterall, 13.65 to 15 is not a decent ramp at all...SouthEastern argued that it was worth $23....for them to accept $15 is probably unrealistic
2) Blackstone might try to take the game away from Silverlake with a strong offer. If it is just $15, it gives Silverlake a chance to come back very easily with a marginally higher offer.
3) The stock is already at 14.30. At this stage, again $15 would not be a decent offer at all
Based on the above factor, I think that a decent enough counterbid would have to start at atleast $16.50 - $17. Otherwise, it is waste of effort and time on the part of everyone involved, and may not be a palatable offer for all parties involved. What do you guys think /?
