SEC needs to change rules to stop potential ripoffs

If it wasn't for Icahn, Dell would have gotten away with it. There is still a chance they are working together as they went to lunch together. However, the shareholders have already chosen to remain a public company. It is very easy to see they would have sold on the open market long ago. There is no more corruption than private equity and insiders taking companies private for pennies on the dollar with fed backed debt. The rule change is very easy. 1. You can take a company private with less than 50% ownership. 2. If you do take a company private you have to pay existing shareholder double the 10 year open market high for the stock.
