Short it if you can. These guys sound like they are banking on putting battery backups in American homes with solar systems. First, it sounds like they really cant sell them anywhere else, due price. Second, if you know anything about American solar, the overwhelming number of systems are on finance agreements. People lease these systems and they are grid tied to take advantage of buy back to pay for the systems. Third, no one, unless they are extremely remote, has power interruption long enough to justify battery back up. That's why they don't have them in the first place. The product they are basing their growth on is not economically viable.
That's just the newest segment of their business. They also have a massive contract with Chinese municipalities to provide batteries for their EV buses, a large contract with sony, and a new lithium recycling plant that opens this quarter.
What the heck are you talking about? That is just one of the things they are doing. Lithium Ion batteries are in about everything these days. Just bought a lawn mower and trimmer with them. They are great. No more gas, oil and pulling that stupid string and praying it starts.
