I wouldn't be surprised if these didn't start up again over the weekend. Look at the stock price relative to the S&P. Currently the stock is pricing in flat revenues next year and 3% perpetual growth in free cash flow going forward.
Market breaking new highs, and the stock left behind.
I don't see this happening. Oracle has everything, hardware and software, that it needs to compete with IBM. HP needs to merge with SAP because SAP has all the software HP needs in its vertical stack. After the merger HP could spin off IPG PSG,ISS,into a separate company.
That;s where Leo and the board were headed back in 2011.
I hate the buyout bs but it does happen. wonder if so, at what price? hope over 30. hey, IBM is software/hardware and orcl would jump overnight to compete with ibm. I'd say it's a good idea but I am long so take it with a grain of salt.
