He now says: "Earth Is 4.5 Billion Years Old, Created By God"
Wow! other than the created by God part, he's right! Now he's on par with any 10 year old who's attended a science class, quite an accomplishment for a Republican.
Next lesson: Burning fossil fuels emits CO2, CO2 traps heat in the atmosphere, we are warming the globe!
I have hope again!
Not expecting the big bang theory or parallel universe theories to kick in, but this is a start!
Which religious kook said this:
“…my Christian faith gives me a perspective and security that I don’t think I would have otherwise: That I am loved. That, at the end of the day, God is in control – and my main responsibility is to love God with all of my heart, soul and mind, and to love my neighbor as myself. Now, I don’t always live up to that standard, but it is a standard I am always pursuing …”
I'm guessing you will shut your trap now rather than wade into losing this debate yet again.
So your point is what? That all religious beliefs are equally nonsensical and, in fact, equally sinister? That following the biblical command to love your neighbor as yourself is no different from following the voice in your head that tells you to shoot up the cafeteria?
Obama is in good company with his particular branch of religious kookery. As he went on to say "My faith is also a great source of comfort to me. I’ve said before that my faith has grown as president. This office tends to make a person pray more; and as President Lincoln once said, 'I have been driven to my knees many times by the overwhelming conviction that I had no place else to go.'”
