No, they are different beasts. HPQ will be around for awhile, it is actually profitable ... although margins in its PC business are continuing to shrink. The main problem w/ HPQ is that it has too many pieces/acquisitions, and hasn't been well integrated apparently so that they can perform at the level of an IBM (for example). That's my take on it. I think Meg Whitman is doing a good job trying to fix things. Give HPQ a year, they will be in better shape. But, this stock could still suck for awhile.
