What's your stock worth if the Fed can print it at will, uses that to buy its own debt? Who else is buying it, certainly not the Chinese... These guys are not raising the market; they're blowing bubbles.
And the price of gasoline will continue to rise. Gas from those tar sands and fracking wells costs a lot more to get than it did from those old Texas wells. But the good thing for both you and me is that we can go as far now with 5 gallons of gas, as we did with 10 gallons a decade or so ago. It's the price per mile that's important to everyone, not the price per gallon.
