General Growth Properties, a regional mall holding, is being crushed due to funding problems. This is clobbering the psychology towards all REITs. There you have it, RQI in turns gets crushed.
I bought in at 12.75. Today I took my licking and sold at 8.75.
Moral of the story: With high yield comes high risk. I was lured in by the high and historically stable yield on RQI. Because of the financial tsunami, some of the holdings are in jeopardy, and the dividend payout increasingly looks at risk.
