When will tinhorn leftist leader nationalize foreign-owned mines?
Leave it to these populist-socalist types to expropriate every foreign-owned mine and resource-extraction investment they can get their greedy hands on. I'm sure their Chinese pals will be happy to step in and "develop" the seized properties.
You sound like you have had personal dealings with them while stealing some other country's gold or silver, destroying the environment and paying the miners peanuts for dangerous work that many die in or get maimed. Imagine that.
You sound a master of unsupported innuendo. Would you care to provide a list of fatalities among Peruvian workers in Pan American mines? Would you care to provide a comparison of the pay of their miners to the prevailing wage rate in the community among non-mine-related workers? I thought not. Imagine that.
Bob, PanAmerican has been shifting it's mining development over the last ten years toward the relative stability found in countries like Mexico and Argentina (in particular). Of course, miners must go where the 'color' is. It adds an element of excitment that not everyone is comfortable with. The world remains a dangerous place and our lack of carrying a 'big stick' in my opinion, has made it more so.
