    I don't know about your uncle, but my uncle teaches at DeVry. Because he is half retired and has lots of knowledge, and figures he should help kids out. A simple observation is that when a student does not pass a class at a pay per unit university their financial aid will not cover that class. So they have to pay that specific course debt off immediately. But a 2(4) year university does not have that same requirement, so students don't have to start paying off any financial aid debt until after graduation.
    That can have a big impact, because people at DeVry are usually cutting some work time for school time. Now they have to cut school to to pay for school. And that just means more classes they will not pass.
    Maybe the law should change so that they do not have to pay debt until they finish attending classes, or get 3 consecutive D or F. Which is what would get you expelled out of a University.

    You see the problem.
