Thanks, I may consider the read but foolishly I pretty much just use price and volume because that's all that can be known on a real-time basis. Fundamentally, when long, all I want to know is if the company makes money; takes about 10 seconds.
You suggested learning where this "stock" is in its business cycle. I'm sure you meant this "company". Surely, you realize the difference is significant.
I don't use the term "long term"; not in my vocabulary. Whenever you are in the market you are at risk.
I guess in my world using stock in place of Company in this context is one and the same...yes I understand the difference...and I appreciate your view point and although I don't agree (I've made significant profits over the long term but I also trade fairly well but that's basically pin money)it appears you know who you are and what your discipline/strategy is...that's 90% of the battle in my mind. Anyway, good luck to you but be very very careful post labor day anywhere in this space if you're considering the short side...my two cents!
