What do you guy think... is this a good buying opp for long term investor to start a position in EBAY? I'm not a professional investor. I of course don't base my decisions on the Yahoo msg boards.... just curious as to what you guys think.
New Ebay fee structure starting April 14 is INSANE, an item I would sell now in non-Ebay stores would have a final value fee of $58, now after April 14 going to $163, too much too gouge from the Ebay suckers, watch this drop when little people balk at the new Final Value Fees!!!!!
Couple months ago I got called out of EBAY at 49 strike it was there for a long time so consider that the support level If I get back in want to write a call at 49 strike which april pays $1.04 That will give me back EBAY at $48 for its next run up to 58-60
Approximately 26,000 calls have changed hands so far, which is double the equity's anticipated intraday call volume. On the other side of the trading aisle, 19,000 puts have crossed the tape. It looks as though a number of today's speculators are hoping EBAY will trek higher over the course of the next few days.
he two most popular calls have been the weekly 3/28 52.50 and 55 strikes, which have seen 4,726 and 4,498 contracts traded, respectively. A large portion of them were exchanged at the ask price, implying they were purchased. Meanwhile, today's volume exceeds current open interest levels at both strikes, and implied volatility has surged during the course of the session -- underscoring our theory of new bullish bets.
Think I would wait for some color on the Paypal issues. Uou be able to get better entry point.. At times like this, it may be good to have a broker's service. Full disclosure: I buy via Schwab so I dont think my remarks are biased.
