My ebay fees more than doubled. I don't care about the sales tax.

I received an email from John Donahoe, and the first sentence reads- "Keeping costs down is a priority for any businessperson. That's especially true for people like you—successful entrepreneurs and small businesspeople who know firsthand that every penny counts. But some lawmakers and large retailers want to impose more costs on you by mandating nationwide sales tax collection for your online business, whether you sell through eBay, other marketplaces, or your own site."
What a hypocrite! My ebay fees DID more than doubled under this new and improved fee structure, and John Donahoe didn't care at all. But he thinks I should be concerned that my cost MAY go up because of an internet tax.

    • Online retailers with out-of-state sales of less than $1 million a year would be exempt according to the bill. Not exactly going to hurt eBay mom&pop sellers, only eBay mega diamond sellers, especially the Chinese ones like eForCity who has a physical business location in the United States are going to have to add sales tax to their penny profit items.

Diamond sellers like Jack Sheng are the one's Ding #$%$ Donahoe wants to protect..Not you or me but he's using this as a rallying cry without giving the full information. Slimy as ever.
