Lets Pretend You're the Bd. and Management of IMUC . . .
You're not supposed to know how current trial is going, and, being a good CEO and bd. member, you've done your best to ensure that the blinding of the trial stays intact. But people talk, especially in doctor's lounges, and surviving GB for 14.6 to 18.8 months is unusual enough so that the people want to talk about it. Then there are the reports you're hearing from docs and nurses about people with clean MRIs -- and the nurse who told a blogger with GB that she can tell who's getting the drug and who isn't. You may not have the results of the trial , but unless you're blind -- and deaf -- you know how it's going, albeit on a purely anecdotal basis. So what do you do? Do you sit there with your thumb up your tutu waiting for the news and then run about yelling, "Gosh, Gee Whiz, It worked! Or do you start now, positioning the company and fattening the balance sheet for the future?
If you think it will help to punish management, be my guest. Every time you drive down the pps, you do me and other longs a favor. Some of you seem to want to destroy the co., admittedly an odd stance for an investor to take, but if you really believe IMUC is sure to fail, why don't you put your money where your mouth is? Go short.
You do it. I couldn't care less. This is a one-off stock. ICT-107 either succeeds or fails. If it succeeds -- and we will know that in a few months -- we all get rich; if it fails, we don't. If you don't have the stomach for that, get out of the stock. That said, I can see from your other posts, that you're honestly troubled, so let me add this: This is a really big increase in the number of shares, one that would be hard to justify except on the grounds that 1) management believes that they have a blockbuster on their hands and 2) intend (unwisely in my view) to grow IMUC into a major independent How do I know that? I don't, but I've been in the same position myself, and I think this a fair inference, based on some comments by Yu and Gengos. Fight the good fight if you will, but I think there is another more reasonable explanation.
