Because the people choosing to be distributors are all making a poor decision. The people who are going into Herbalife are mostly making a big mistake. And Herbalife profits from this mistake. Sure a few handful are successful. But the million others are just wasting their time. Imagine going to Walmart and buying $300 worth of Slimfast. Then trying to go sell that stuff for double what you just paid for it. That is just plain lunacy. That is what Herbalife is. Herbalife serves absolutely no purpose in the world.
My family got into some diet fad with Herbalife many years back.
After months, her health started to fail. Before she was always tireless, and afterwards, she was turning into just a shell with whimpering voice. From that point on, I knew Herbalife was a dangerous product.
On top of that, I hear now, thru this Ackman and others slugfest, the company is built on a pyramid scheme! I am outraged. Truly thank Mr Ackman for his courage and 'altruistism'. We need to protect each other, and not just see others to pinch a penny from. Capitalism has to be moderated to serve overall benefit of the society.
Cheers to Mr Ackman.

BTW, one of the eateries at the bus/train station near me bases most of his breakfast business on muffins and pastries he buys at BJ's and marks up by 50%. People could get the same thing if they bought 15 muffins at one time, but sometimes buying in bulk and reselling at a markup works out for both the buyer and seller.

I hope all of you that have been wronged by HLF cry about it and it's evil ways HAHA...this stock is going to double...right now the kicking and screaming is still going on and when that is over with the shorts will be dead and this stock hits $80
This makes no sense to me. As long as it's legal ( and I believe it is), why should those for whom it might be a good decision be denied the opportunity because it might be a poor decision for others?
The problem with your analysis sport is......HLF is not a "premium" product.
Anyone with an ounce of nutritional knowledge knows that you cant get higher quality products, much cheaper at Trader Joe's, or your local nutritional store.
You can even get better products, and less expensive products at WALMART.
There is NOTHING special about Herbalife products.
READ the ingredients sometime, and compare.
